Senior Business Analyst – BPR

SCOPE OF WORK:

The purpose of this role is to create or enhance Operating processes and systems within Operations Department. The Business analyst will be involved in all system and process developments including conception, analysis, testing and implementation. This will entail requirement gathering and documentation, user testing and supporting implementation. Business analyst acts as the liaison between business users and IT by serving as business problem solvers to provide the process, questions, and techniques to efficiently extract the information needed from the Business Users for successful application development projects and also for the effectiveness and efficiency of day to day business process. Additionally, this role will also assume responsibility to work together with the business in conducting a continuous review on the business process.

Role Purpose:

The Business analyst will be responsible to consistently provide superior business analysis services to all business units to ensure that all operations transactions are processed effectively and efficiently from an end to end point of view. These services must be achieved by managing processes in an effective, innovative and cost efficient manner with full adherence to all applicable policies and regulations whilst giving full consideration to all risk factors. Initiatives, such as business process improvement or new ideas to reduce cost and increase companys profitability, will need to be provided. The initiatives provided must aim to enable Operations to provide the most efficient and effective process as per the best practice to ensure customer service delivery excellence.

Responsibilities:

1. High quality analysis including business process and system analysis.
2. Responsible to maintain relationships with all related department within the bank.
3. Liaising with all internal departments to gain feedback and provide solutions to any issues identified during their daily transaction.
4. Regularly review existing process flow to ensure the most effective and efficient process has been put in place.
5. Involve in reviewing and designing the new process flow of any new product or service
6. Business project involvement as the representative from the Operation at any projects arise
7. Ensure all policy and procedure in Operations Department are updated/established
8. Communicates with other departments and management to resolve problems and expedite work.
9. Interprets and communicates work procedures and company policies to subordinates.
10. Helps and assists subordinates in resolving problems and completing work.
11. Resolves and answers questions of internal clients regarding operations and procedures.
12. Make recommendations to management concerning staff and improvement of procedures.
13. Promote risk and control awareness and compliance requirements throughout the Bank Operations Division.
14. Minimize financial loss to the bank by implementing effective internal policy & procedures.
15. Plans and develops improved procedures.

* Apply the management systems, policies and processes of the organization to effectively carry out accountabilities.
* Establishing and maintaining interpersonal relationships (developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time)

Risk Management

1. In relation to the role, risks need to be identified and assessed, which could prevent the business analyst from achieving the objectives of the role. Risk-mitigating procedures need to be planned and executed. On a regular basis, report and discuss the results of the risk management.
2. Ensure that all operational risks are highlighted, collated and resolution sought, in a timely manner.

Client/Internal Client/Business Partners

1. Provide superior service aligned with the clients (and partners) needs and the organisations business objectives.
2. Develop and maintain close working relationship with internal/external clients involved in all relevant projects.

Job Requirements:

Essential

1. Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Banking, Economic or Finance from reputable university.
2. Minimum 5 years of banking operation experience.
3. Advanced communication and people management as well as interpersonal skill.
4. Advanced judgment and problem solving skill.
5. Demonstrate high service attitude.
6. High level of English proficiency both verbal and written.
7. Project Management Experience

Desirable

1. Having in depth the knowledge of Banking Products, Processes and Systems. Advanced analytical skills
2. Six Sigma/Lean Certification
3. Project Management Training/Certification
